On Friday, the Martin County Veterans Memorial Committee announced that the Fairmont High School Band will perform the Star Spangled Banner at the upcoming dedication ceremony for the new veterans memorial. The event is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, at the memorial site located near the Martin County Courthouse. Organizers encourage the public to attend and honor local veterans during this special occasion.
In addition to the musical performance, the ceremony will feature remarks from local officials and veterans, as well as a presentation of colors by the Fairmont American Legion Honor Guard. The committee expressed gratitude to the community for its support in making the memorial a reality and looks forward to a meaningful event that recognizes the sacrifices of area service members.
