Families from Covington gathered once again at Bogue Falaya Park to celebrate Independence Day with the annual Sparks in the Park event. The festivities began with a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, setting a patriotic tone for the evening. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including face painting, games, and food trucks, all while children played on the park’s playground and families spread out picnic blankets to enjoy the summer evening.
As dusk settled, anticipation grew for the main event: a dazzling fireworks display that lit up the night sky and drew cheers from the crowd. The event, which has become a beloved tradition in Covington, offered a chance for the community to come together and celebrate the Fourth of July in a safe and festive environment. Organizers expressed gratitude for the strong turnout and the sense of unity that Sparks in the Park continues to foster each year.
